How to Move Line Items in Assemblies

Overview
You can move a line item within an assembly to rearrange its order, move a line item from inside an assembly to outside of it, or move a line item from outside an assembly into an assembly.

Before You Begin

• Open the estimate that contains the assembly you want to modify.
  
  

Moving a Line Item Within an Assembly

1. Hover over the line item you want to move (for example, a backsplash item inside a kitchen reno assembly).

2. Move your mouse to the six-dot grab handle on the line item until the hand icon appears.

3. Click and hold down on the handle to grab the line item.

4. Drag the line item up or down to its new position within the assembly.

5. Release your mouse to drop the item in place.

Moving a Line Item Outside an Assembly

1. Hover over the line item you want to move out of the assembly.

2. Move your mouse to the six-dot grab handle until the hand icon appears.

3. Click and hold down on the handle to grab the line item.

4. Drag the line item out of the assembly to the desired location outside of it.

5. Release your mouse to drop the item in place.

Moving a Line Item Back Into an Assembly

1. Hover over the line item that is currently outside the assembly.

2. Move your mouse to the six-dot grab handle until the hand icon appears.

3. Click and hold down on the handle to grab the line item.

4. Drag the line item back into the assembly.

5. Release your mouse to drop the item in place.

• Lets you reorganize line items within an assembly or move them in and out of an assembly, keeping your estimate structured the way you need it.
