In Bolster, managing the organization of items within an assembly is crucial for maintaining an efficient workflow.

Moving Items Inside an Assembly


1. Access the Assembly:
  • Open the Bolster application and navigate to the assembly you wish to modify.
  • Ensure you have the necessary permissions to edit the assembly.

2. Select the Item:
  • Locate the item you want to move within the assembly.
  • Click on the item to highlight it. You can select multiple items by holding the 'Ctrl' key (Windows) or 'Command' key (Mac) while clicking.

3. Initiate the Move Command:
  • Right-click on the selected item(s) and choose the 'Move' option from the context menu.
  • Alternatively, use the shortcut key 'M' to activate the move command.

4. Position the Item:
  • Drag the item to the desired location within the assembly.
  • Use the alignment guides to ensure precise placement.

5. Confirm the Move:
  • Release the mouse button to drop the item in the new location.
  • Click 'Save' to confirm the changes to the assembly.

Moving Items Outside of an Assembly


1. Select the Item:
  • Within the assembly, hover the item you wish to move outside.
  • The +, six dots icon and a check box icon will appear when you hover over each line.
2. Initiate the Move Command:
  • Click and hold onto the six dots icon to drag and move the line item outside the assembly.
