Managing Company Settings in Bolster

Overview
Company settings hold the general details for your company in Bolster, such as your company name, contact details, address, currency and tax. This is one of the first things to set up when you start using Bolster. Some of these details may already be filled in by your Customer Success Manager.

Open Company Settings

1. In the left-hand menu, click Settings.

2. Under General, click Company settings. The General company settings page opens.

Enter Your Company Details

1. Under Company details, enter your Legal company name, Company short name, Company email and Company phone.

2. Under Company type, click Choose and select any that apply.

Enter Your Company Address

1. Under Company address, enter your Address and City.

2. Select your Country and State/Province.

3. Enter your Postal/Zip Code. Your zip code is important because it is used by the AutoCost module.

Set Your Currency and Tax

1. Under Currency & Tax, select your Currency.

2. Select your Default sales tax. This is the default tax applied to new jobs.

Add Extra Details

Extra details are not required, but are highly recommended.

1. Under Extra details, enter your Company website, Business registration number, Workers comp. insurance ID number and Liability company and number.

2. Under Company bio, enter a description of your company.

3. Under Company social, enter your Facebook, X (twitter), LinkedIn and Instagram accounts.

4. Click Save changes.

Why This Matters

• Setting up your company details is one of the first things to do in Bolster.
• Your zip code connects your company to the AutoCost module.
• Your default sales tax is applied to new jobs.

Summary

To manage your company settings, go to Settings > Company settings. Enter your company details and address (including your zip code for AutoCost), set your currency and default sales tax, and add extra details such as your company bio and social media accounts.
