Making Items Optional in Bolster
Making items optional in a proposal can enhance customer flexibility and increase booking rates by allowing clients to customize their projects according to their budget. Optional add-ons can also boost perceived value and encourage higher spending.
How-to
1. Open the Proposal:
-
Open the proposal where you want to make an item optional. For this example we will use a kitchen.
2. Select the Item:
-
Find the item you want to make optional. In this case we are using under-cabinet lighting.
-
Hover over the item and click the item icon to open the item settings.
3. Item Settings:
-
Go to the Sales tab in the item settings.
-
Check the box Make this item optional for your customer.
4. Set Default Inclusion:
-
Choose if the item should be included by default or excluded by default in the proposal. This will determine if the item shows up in the proposal or if the customer has to add it manually.
5. Finalize Changes:
-
Once you’ve made the changes, exit the item settings. The item is now optional in the proposal.
By doing this you can make items optional in your proposals and give your customers more flexibility and potentially more bookings.
