How to Change the Category on an Assembly
Learn how to change the category of an assembly in Bolster's Production settings to keep your catalogue organized and easy to navigate.
Overview
Categories help you organize assemblies in your catalogue so they're easy to locate when preparing proposals. You can change the category an assembly is saved under directly from the assembly's production settings.
Before You Begin
- Have the assembly you want to re-categorize open and ready to edit.
1. Click the trifecta of cubes icon.
2. Scroll down to Production.
3. On the bottom line, find the field indicating where you want this assembly to be saved in your catalogue.
4. Click the dropdown and choose the category you want this assembly saved under in your library.
5. If the category you want isn't listed, add a new category as needed.
6. Click Add to Catalogue in the top right corner to save your changes.
Tips & Best Practices
- Create Categories as Needed: If the right category doesn't exist yet, add it on the spot rather than saving the assembly under the wrong one.
- Confirm the Save: Always click Add to Catalogue after changing the category so your update is applied.
