Unable to add specific items to a proposal
Sometimes an error message will display when an item or assembly is added into a proposal. The system will tell you that “the item(s) were not added because the user does not have access to” a certain dimension.
Global Items and Assemblies
-
If you get this error message when trying to add an item or assembly from the CostCertified free library, the dimension code will be a plain string of letters (like the example shown).
- If you get this error, it means that a dimension has been deleted from the global library. Please contact customer support and tell them which dimension code is generating the error. We will restore the missing dimension and the item should load properly.
Company Items and Assemblies
-
If you get this error message when trying to add an item or assembly from your own company library, then the dimension code will have a set of three letters and an underscore at the beginning (like the example shown).
-
This indicates that a custom dimension has been removed from your company library, or you are trying to load an item that was transferred from another account.
-
If you get this error, please contact customer support and we will determine what dimension is causing the error and get it resolved.
