Speed Up the PDF Generator

The system might take an extended amount of time to load PDFs for proposals that have multiple change orders.

The slowdown is caused by the system trying to load a summary of every version at the same time. This can be avoided by adjusting the presentation settings. NOTE: These settings will need to be adjusted for each presentation template that gets used. 

Disable approvals summary.

• Open the proposal and go to the Preview tab

• Click on the Edit toggle in the top left.

  
• Click on Presentation settings in the bottom left corner.
  

• Scroll down to the “Printable document view settings” section.

• Turn off the toggle for “Show approvals summary.”

  

• This will prevent the PDF from loading a summary of all previous versions of the proposal, which will allow the system to generate the PDF much faster.

• If you would like to view a PDF for a specific version you can open it from the changes tab.

  • There is an option to “checkout this stage” for all previous versions.

  • There is also an option to “download authorization file” for versions that have been approved by the client.
