Rolling back quotes or other items

If you accidentally delete something or change something you didn’t intend to, often a previous version is recoverable. Many items in CostCertified are recoverable by the user, and some may require you to contact support.

Quotes

You can recover old versions of a quote in two different ways. The first way is to go to the Changes tab, where you can see a list of all the change orders / versions of the quote. This is the best way to do it if you want to rollback to a point when the customer would have made an approval, or to a state in which you would have sent the quote previously.

You can also rollback to a version saved in the history from the Activities tab. This will give you many more options, and is best if you want to rollback to a state between approvals or sending.

From change order / versions

  1. Open the quote you want to roll back

  2. Go to Changes tab

  3. Scroll down to the list of versions

  4. Click the action button (…) and then choose “Rollback to this version”

  5. Save the quote


From the activities / history

  1. Open the quote you want to roll back

  2. Go to Activities tab

  3. Scroll down the list of activities, loading more history as needed

  4. Find a Backup version box

  5. Click on the button on the Backup version box, and choose “Checkout this version”
