Grouping total profit as "management fee" in the proposal.
You can separate the profit on every item in a proposal and have the total profit for the job listed at the bottom of the proposal as a “management fee” (the name can also be customized).
Note: This will show every item cost as the price to the customer.
-
Open a quote/proposal/project.
-
Go the the Preview tab
-
Enable editing with the Edit button located on the top bar above the presentation.
-
Open presentation settings from the lower panel that opens up.
-
Enable Show profit as management fee.
-
Once enabled, you can edit the “Management fee” name.
-
Save changes to your presentation to keep this setting.
-
The cost of every item will now be displayed as the price to the customer.
- The total profit for the proposal will be combined and listed as the “management fee” above the Project Total.
- The total markup/profit margin can be adjusted in the estimate tab. This will adjust the “Total budgeted profit,” which is what will be displayed as the “Management fee” on the customer view.
