Using the Takeoff Tab for Dimension Input
Efficiently input dimensions using the Takeoff Tab, ensuring accuracy in your estimates. By following the steps outlined, users can easily manage linked and separate dimensions, enhancing their proposal's precision.
To get started: You can either watch the walkthrough video for a quick visual guide, or follow the step-by-step instructions below to complete the process manually.
1. Go into your estimate.

2. Prepare Dimensions:
Before using the Takeoff tab, ensure your proposal includes dimension boxes.
These may be:
-
Linked Dimensions (auto-calculated in your estimate)
-
Separate Calculations
(For setup guidance, see the video on “Calculated or Linked Dimensions.”)

3. Open the Takeoff Tab
-
In your proposal, go to the Takeoff tab.
-
Switch to List View to see all dimension entry fields.

4. Enter Measurements
• Insert your site measurements into the available dimension boxes.
• Only fill in the tan/grey boxes.
Do not edit the blue boxes - these are linked dimensions already calculated in your estimate.

5. Review in Estimate
Once dimensions are entered, return to the Estimate view.
Your measurements will now be reflected in the appropriate boxes and calculations.
