How to Save an Assembly to Your Catalogue

Learn how to save an assembly to your Bolster catalogue using either the quick save option or the organized Production workflow with categories.

Overview
You can save an assembly to your catalogue so it's available for reuse in future estimates. There are two ways to do this: a quick save, or a more organized save that lets you choose where the assembly lands in your catalogue.

Before You Begin

  • Have the assembly you want to save built and ready in your estimate.

Option 1: Quick Save

1. Click the six buttons icon, then click Add to Catalogue.

Alternatively:

  • Highlight the square for the assembly, then click Add to Catalogue.

Option 2: Organized Save

1. Click the three cubes icon.

2. Click Production.

3. Choose where you want the assembly to be saved in your catalogue.

4. Choose an existing category to save the assembly to, or create a new category in your catalogue as needed.

5. Click Add to Catalogue at the top right.

Tips & Best Practices

  • Organize as You Go: Use the Production option and categories to keep your catalogue organized rather than relying only on the quick save.

Why This Matters

  • Saving assemblies to your catalogue lets you reuse them in future estimates without rebuilding them from scratch.

  • Choosing a category when saving keeps your catalogue organized and easier to search later.

Summary

You can save an assembly to your catalogue either with a quick save using the six buttons icon or a highlighted square, or with a more organized save through the three cubes icon and Production, where you can choose or create a category before adding it to your catalogue.
