How to Use the Change Orders Tab

Learn how to find and use the Change Orders tab in an estimate to review quote versions, statuses, and detailed change summaries.

Overview
The Change Orders tab in an estimate houses all the different change orders and versions of a quote. This is especially important after a client accepts a quote, as it lets you track and show all the different versions that may or may not have been sent to the client.

Before You Begin

  • Open the estimate you want to review change orders for.

1. On the left-hand side of the estimate, click the Production tab.

2. Click the Change Orders tab, which appears as the first tab after Production.

3. Review the list of quote versions shown. If there is only one version of the quote, only that version will appear. If there are multiple versions, all of them will be listed here.

4. Check the status of each quote version shown in the tab.

5. Review the changes made on a given version directly in the tab.

6. Click the change summary for a version to see all the individual items that changed on that version.

Why This Matters

  • Gives you a single place to track every version of a quote, which is especially important after a client has accepted a quote and changes need to be documented.

  • Lets you see the status of each version and review exactly what changed between versions.

Summary

The Change Orders tab, found under the Production tab in an estimate, lists all versions of a quote along with their status. You can review the changes on any version and open the change summary to see the specific items that changed.
