How to Configure Material Options and Pricing

Overview
Material options let you dial in the pricing of a line item's materials cost in more detail than the generic pricing per unit of measure. Configuring these options also helps ensure your materials list reflects exactly the materials you want to order, including supplier, purchase method, and wastage.

Before You Begin

• Identify the line item whose material pricing you want to configure in more detail.
  
  

1. Click the cube icon on the line item.

2. Click into Unit Pricing.

3. Locate the Materials Cost section.

4. Click the plus icon for Materials Option.

5. Review the available options, which can include:

• Supplier
• How you purchase the product
• Wastage percentage
• Base materials cost
• Minimum materials cost
• Item price
• Item weight (if needed)

6. Set the values for any of these options you want to use.

Once configured, these options refine the pricing of the line item's materials cost beyond the generic per-unit pricing, and help ensure the materials list reflects exactly what you want to order.
