How to Add Production Notes and SKU to Line Items

Learn how to add a SKU number and internal production notes to any line item in Bolster, then save the changes to your catalog.

Overview
You can add a SKU number and production notes to any line item. The SKU can correspond with a material or ordering information, and production notes are internal only -- they are never visible to the client.

Before You Begin

  • Identify the line item you want to add a SKU or production notes to.

1. On the line item you want to update, click the cube icon.

2. Scroll down to the Production section.

3. Enter the SKU number for the line item to correspond with any material listed, or with ordering information.

4. Add any production notes. These are internal notes only and are not visible to the client.

5. Save the changes to this line item into your catalog.

 

Tips & Best Practices

  • Internal Use Only: Remember that production notes are not visible to the client, so they're safe for internal ordering or production details.
  • Optional Feature: You may or may not want to use SKU and production notes depending on your workflow.
